Idk, just flush till you have clean water. I've used both. Permitex has a good chemical cleaner if your worried about scale.

 

Washing soda is what we used
A quick flush before the change then a strong water soda solution after and run it up to operating temp and drain
Flush with fresh water then drain and fill with coolant

I've always used dishwasher detergent. Doesn't foam up as much from my experience.

Nah not too much in that area to check out. Anytime I'm in Regina its just to pass through and get the hell outta there. Out by moose jaw the Western Development museum is pretty good, its all transportation stuff (boats, planes, trains). Saskatoon has some cool outside stuff to see but no good in the winter.
