I have a cdl that I haven't used since I got it in June 2018. I have been driving a small box truck since November 2018. Gvw 16000 so nowhere near enough to use my cdl.
I am wondering what are the chances that a Utah company number 1, takes my cdl as valid, number 2, does short drives and back like 4 or 5 hours one way and then back and lastly 3, runs automatic transmissions.
Thanks guys your a great help.

You should check the Salt Lake City craigslist.
Right off the top I saw O'Reilly Auto Parts advertising local. Home everyday. 5 day work week.
There are plenty others there.
You could also try your State Employment Office. They often have someone dedicated to Truck Drivers.Last edited: Feb 24, 2020

Your class A licence reverts to a class C if you don't renew and submit a medical card to the DMV when it's due.
I don't think you have a class A anymore. -
You would have to go out with a trainer for a minimum of 50 hours, probably longer, the shorter runs is something you would have to talk to a recruiter and the dispatcher, we do have runs to St. George or Cedar City and back, but that normally is reserved for drivers that have been here for quite awhile. AND We do have automatics. Give recruiting a call and see what they can do for you.Chinatown Thanks this.
