I’m with progressive $2300 a month for new numbers, couldn’t find anything cheaper so just bit the bullet and pay it, it’s not going to get any cheaper in the future and I’m not putting some other douchebags name on my truck

Not unusual to see job offers in the West texas oil field for o/o with own #, ran with some, doing same thing as I was doing leased to a carrier.

This is sadly something that is affecting a lot of smaller owner operators in the industry and forcing a lot of company doors to close. The nuclear 10+ million dollar verdicts are causing everyone in the insurance company pools rates to go up. It's to the point where a lot of insurance companies are downright closing their commercial insurance side for trucks. The issue lies within the court system. It's ridiculous how tough the court system penalizes truck drivers and there are literal rings of insurance fraud being formed every day. I hope you are able to work something out man, wish you the best

Sorry for this, and hate to kick someone when their down, but many have stated that trying to become an owner op with little experience will be very expensive, especially insurance! Wish you the best of luck

There is an insurance agency in FL that you should call. 925trucking.com

I've sent a couple buddies to them that drive in different states. They found us options that were 5k better than progresive . Tom Starniky is the agent that helped me

It's déjà vu one year later... The only difference is I stopped drinking coca-cola.
