You really need that many axles for that much pipe? It only looks like 8 or so more than a 'legal' 5 axle load...
All that for 2-3k lbs more?
Weight, wait? What?

You might want to get a very long measuring tape and start finding out if you have enough distance between axle groups per Federal Bridge Weight tables to be sure you are not overweight on any one group due to spacing. And there needs to be a certain distance between trailer group and tractor group to scale.
seagreg Thanks this. -
That trailer in the picture is overkill with 4 axels.
Today I have a normal 3 axel trailer.
5 axel normal truck and trailer at 65 feet gives 88,500 legal road weights.
My truck at 7 axels gives me 98,000lbsCrude Truckin' Thanks this. -
Have fun with that. Especially in the spring when the ice starts to melt.

What do you mean by that? Can’t be any different than lowering road limits in Alberta. Rates go up when roads go down
-
Just replace the word Aye with ...ker or ...khead and they won't give you any grief. They will just dismiss you as an uncooth misfit.
-
Once again, please explain yourself.......Or let me know if what you’re saying has no worth in this thread.

Not my intention to be insulting in any way. I just figured we could joke about it a bit.
Like your comment "rates go up when roads go down". I think you will see the same situation in the northern states with the spring thaw. What roads may be ok in the summer won't fly in the spring.
Maybe it's half and half. I love giving Canadians grief about bacon. But classic US and Canadian bacon are from two different cuts and have thier own place. How do you compare pork belly to tenderloin? Only in jest.
I just meant to say "legal road weights" may vary by season, or by state. Some let you haul more on US highways and some let you haul more only on interstate highways.
Lots of states claim you can run with a 20k steer axle weight. If... You steer axle or tires can handle the weight, whichever has the lowest rating. Going to need some wide tires to handle 20k on two tires.bonder45 Thanks this. -
That's a bad ### truck you got there driver ...oh and yes you are correct on the weight
Lumper Humper, bonder45 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I see what you’re saying now.
And to note, I have a 20k front end with those stupid 385 wide tires.
One of my friends did gravel out here last year and let me know his frustrations with roads and not being able to work - I took what he said with a grain of salt because he’s a negative Nancy when it comes to working here in the Bakken.skellr Thanks this.
