I don't believe in coincidences Ill tell you why;
I am a 54 year old who burned out after 20+ years in the mental health field primarily substance use. Worked in methadone clinics, detoxes, residentials with parolees, developmental delayed and, my favorites, heroin addicts. Couldn't do it effectively any longer after coming home and kicking the dog for years after yet another funeral. So, sold my place in NYC, packed up (the dog included) and moved to Tampa with the understanding that I will no longer work in the "helping profession". The reason why I chose driving semis is because I view it as a complete opposite of what I was doing. I will be working alone and my mantra is going to be,"just give the keys, address and a jazz playlist". Though driving rigs are a bit intimidating I am up for the challenge. Drove my first rig yesterday, a complete f%#@ up! BUT an awesome experience nonetheles and I can't wait to go back and get it together. I have found the guys here (and girls) being very supportive and encouraging. I mentioned I am 54, but even though there are some snaps, crackling and popping when I get up in the morning I REFUSE to roll over and hide behind my age. So, do it Mann! and let us know your progress!

Steam store. You'll need a steering wheel and pedals tho to get the proper experience. Dont worry about the size too much. The largest car I've owned is a Ford Fusion and it didnt take long for me to adjust to driving a semi. Just be sure to properly adjust and utilize ALL your mirrors.

You get used to the size.
