I currently have my CDL A permit and was wondering if I were to get another physical would I have to go into the Florida dmv to update the information, even if the old physical is still valid?

Yes! Because once that new physical hits the database you're old physical becomes void. I don't know if the update is automatic or not.

Is there anyway to do this out of state?

It might already be done. I don't know if it is automatic or not. All I know is once you get a new physical any older ones are void.

Call the FL DMV they'll help you to get it to them.

Contact your state dmv and find out many states allow you to email or fax it in.
    Google your state dmv site.

    CDL Self-Certification System

You will need an image file (may need PDF copy, but a photo may do...) of the medical certificate, I think...to attach to the forms. I have not done this for quite some time now, as my employer takes care of it.

When you get a new DOT exam and paperwork you must update the state with your new DOT exam paperwork/info in whatever manner your state requires it. The DOT doctor sends info to the state showing you have a new exam. If the state doesn't have your newest exam your state record is incorrect.

Internet search your state name, CDL self-certification of medical exam. Some states you have to walk into the DMV and show paperwork. In many or most states you can update your medical exam online. There is a short period after your DOT exam for you to notify the state.

You can probably get away with having overlapping medical exams until something happens, like a cop or your boss wants to see your medical exam paperwork and you show them the wrong paperwork.

Internet search your homestate, CDL medical self-certification. Missouri, for example, the only way to update the state of your new exam is to walk into a DMV office. Most other states you can do things online or with a fax.
