I almost think it was an American General ? I don’t remember.
I took it from central Illinois to Rochester, NY. The buyer owned a small construction company if I remember correctly. Nice guy he kept asking me “you think I need a CDL to drive it” ? I’m like hell no hammer down man !

add cows, flow boy, bulk tank, and milk tanker (food grade) to the list...I’ve always worked at smaller companies that do a lot of different things. Always wanted to do heavy haul like heavy equipment type stuff. That, and heavy recovery like tow trucks and rotators.

LoL, it would fly in FL. Slap a not for hire on the side, you can drive just about anything down here..

    Heck of a resume.
That's awesome, be real easy to find work if you ever become unhappy..

All I've done is this weird, light weight open deck operation.
Seems to be working out, so I'll keep at it..

For some reason I really want to pull an end dump. There is a bunch of single axle day cabs running around by the home 20, pulling FL spec dumps, but it pays utter nonsense..

I prefer end dump and hopper, but the money isn’t real good. Boss man here rarely uses the hoppers or the end dump because rates are so bad. They come out for harvest season and that’s about it anymore.

Yeah thats an m939 by am general. Theyre an offroad tractor usually with a 8.3 cummins 6cta and allison 645 auto then a 2 speed divorced tcase.

The FL mil trucks were fairly typical build road tractors with cummins or detroit 6s and a manual fuller. Now that 6x6 FL winch truck is a rare bird. It may have been a specialty conversion rig by marmon or someone like that using the AM general driveline bin and the FL glider.

96? Looks like a 112 hood. I know some 120's were built in 03 with ISX that were a strange birds. Possible military or special order I guess.

Fools is correct, the military did have piles of FLD trucks.

well, the blade thing is off to a bit of a rocky start - loaded 2/15 got on site today to unload in the am. The company hired a total dip Schmitt to do the first route survey that came in 4 days late. Then it had to be revised and we sat for 3 more days.

So, I have 14 days counting tomorrow to do just right at 800 miles...

    things should get better

I will keep An eye for him, I am easy to spot however. Tell him not to be shy....

should have done towers....or the sneaky 106k hubs(could have used my trailer) didn’t get offered that gig.
