With all the technology companies employ to keep track of their drivers, they are still paying you by the mile in 2020?. These are not your friends, unless your idea of friendship is being pandered to while they metaphorically stick a hot fireplace poker up your arse.

Even being Zip to Zip miles, 250 difference is a lot. I usually get 10-30ish miles from actual, but nothing like that. I would talk to someone personally and see whats going on...

Well, welcome to the wonderful junk world of OTR trucking! Imagine that in 2020, with E-logs that show you and the company the exact miles you've driven, yet you don't get paid those miles? Just another way for companies to skim money of the backs of their hard working drivers. No thank you! I will keep my hourly career and sleep in my own home every night. And while Frank Speak enjoys his Tequila, I will enjoy my Sam Adams beer. When are you folks going to wake up and realize that you are taking it in the shorts?

I'm paid practical miles, and am rarely more than 3%over on mileage, occasionally I can do it in less than paid. I'd be checking with my company if I ever was short 300 miles.

Imagine if your load is two thousand miles and you relay the load after five hundred miles. And the load is relayed every five hundred miles. The company is paid for the two thousand miles but the drivers are paid for the zip code to zip code for each relay.

I’d like to know the specific load information from the OP. Where’d he pick up at and where’d he deliver. 300 miles is a lot of miles difference....

There should be a way for drivers across the country to
    launch a class action suit

The question is and will forever be will they drivers ever stand up
to these giants and take them down

So you are new driver you said? What else you see on your statements? Trucking is about rip off, as much as possible, driver is a dummy and a steering monkey. All business is for brokers, tax man, that crap management etc. You can not succeed doing trucking, the pie already split between all morons that pretend they are driving force of the industry sitting on the phones and calling same scum bags trying to rip each other off, than ripping drivers off as side extra income for a new house for his child. Get used to it, it is just a game, zip to zip is all #### for idiots, should not be this way, they cut down miles for you to work for free and to keep more money for themselves, they will do same #### with reefer settings, with fuel surcharge, with broken equipment that you have nothing to do with but you will pay for it to get fixed, with load rates. Mostly all truck drivers are losers, they getting played with like a toys and work for peanuts. So new driver get a grip and roll on wasting your lifetime for this slavery wage. And get the hell out of mega carrier, those are especially mastered rip off entities that don't give a crap about you or anyone at all and they ALL love virgin students that dumb as hell and have no clue what is all about, this zip to zip is just a first eye opener for you that you had, as time goes on you will get it what its all about.

If only there were a way for people that don’t like their current situation to change it instead of feeling sorry for themselves and think everyone is out to get them.

Long time ago, that company switched from hhg to practical. I could find a route that was shorter than hhg actually, going from Waterloo to St. Charles(West Chicago) taking US 20 to I 39 to IL 64. That was a seldom done occurrence. Normally, longer runs varied less from actual miles run. Short runs could really get you(it's a long way from west side of Indy to the east side using truck allowed routes, but same zip at that time, iirc).

Waterloo to Mason City, IA, fueling up the reefer to drop and hook, was an even bigger screw on hhg.
