Sorry guys, It turned out the load was 12'6 high and while not a problem I decided not to take the load. I was kind of happy that was my way of getting out of the load!
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
I should clarify that, while I was in Vegas I received a call from the broker letting me know the load was now tall, so I didn't even venture up that way.
D.Tibbitt, Roadgeek395 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -

Is the anywhere along the Owens River to lay over and do a little fishingD.Tibbitt and truckdriver31 Thank this.

The first place that comes to mind is just North of Bishop on US 6. The highway goes right over the Owens River. You could probably park your truck at laws Railroad Museum and take a short walk to the river.
