If it's the OEM engine harness that's on the chassis side. They are correct, it is not covered under the extended engine warranty. This is a 2019 and it's already out of chassis warranty? What month did you buy it and how many miles are on it?

The chassis warranty can be found on the paperwork you signed. It's the warranty agreement. The extended chassis warranty covers about 99% of the same stuff with some random exclusions. Unfortunately, them not offering it to you isn't really a factor here. It's the customers responsibility to be well informed on these purchases. I imagine when you shop for a new personal vehicle you do research into the warranty, if you should purchase an extended warranty, etc - the same goes for these types of purchases as well.

Without being there and seeing repair bills, fault codes, etc I can't really offer any advice other than letting you know that based on what you've said everything sounds correct.

We purchased the truck in Nov 2018. And currently have 373000 miles.

    Thanks for the advice.
We thought we where getting full extended warrenty when we purchased the truck. But you are correct we should of done more research but being first time buyer where told to get all the warrenty we could. So we thought we did. But know know different.

Yes unfortunately it's something you learn afterwards.

If it's any consolation, while I typically recommend extended chassis warranty to customers, they're not AS important as the extended engine warranties are. You've likely saved yourself tons more money by getting those.

What do you think about the Allison 2500hs transmission for a medium duty truck. Do you happen to know the warranty on those and the extended warranty. I believe it's 3 years standard limited warranty + 1 partnership coverage. What do they mean by partnership coverage?

I got out of the Allison warranty a couple years ago, so I unfortunately have no current knowledge on what they're offering.

Looking for a fleet strategy. Im lost with all the Peterbilt / Paccar extended warranties, should we get plan A-B-C? And what about the major component extended plan and the aftertreatment plan? Truck does 125 000 miles each year and exchange for new every 4-5 years or 620 000 miles.

Buying the truck cash with 3-4 years full warranty and trading in after 3 years.
    Whats the trade value then?
