I heard that Prime is purchasing new Peterbilt 384 trucks which have a smaller cab and sleeper births. Any thoughts on this?? I was looking into going to Prime but this has me a little drawn back now because of the comfort issue. I mean your in the truck for a long time and to make things even more cramped with less room for goodies to make it more home like is kinda crazy. Maybe I'm wrong but from all that I heard, It is definitely a move to make more money for the Company. Is this something that if I go to them I would not have to worry about?

The 384's are for company drivers on a dedicated account that are home every other night.

gotcha. Thanks for the clarification.

Got plenty of Centurys (yet... not gone), Cascadias and Pete 387's. Still have a few T660s running. All have full sleepers - not the mongo ones though!
-
Cool. I have been working with Omar Aragon on employment verification. I really like what I've heard other than the 384's. I was looking at USA and driver solutions as well but this seems like a better deal except that I live in Columbus Ohio so I'm not sure about home time and stuff.

I would most definitely like to go to Prime. I think the longer training would pay 10 fold on the safety alone, and the experience especially heading into winter soon. I can't imagine being on my own with 3 weeks cdl training and 3 to 4 weeks training then all alone trying to drive thru the mountains in winter with no experience. I also love those Cascadias. Man they look awesome. Love the century and 387's as well. T660's are also good.

Get lots of loads to Columbus... Kraft down off of Alum Creek Rd, Buttwiper, there's a grocery warehouse and a Mars plant too that come to mind.
-
Yeah I know where those are (except the Buttwiper). That would be awesome. I am an electrician by trade and have worked at Mars aka Kal Kan nasty place. Also Kroger warehouse in Delaware Ohio and off Alum Creek drive. Would be nice to get some loads there.

Budweiser Brewery up off of I71 and I270 on the north end of town. We have lots of loads going in and out of Columbus... spend a lot of time crossing the place on I70 as well. WallyWorld down in Circle City off of US23 is an easy in and out for restocking the fridge.

LOL on the budweiser. Worked there too. (guess i didn't think hard enough on that one he he he.) Wow all close to my home. I think this is going to work out well for me then. You coming thru Columbus anytime soon? I could meet ya at the pilot off 70 at Wilson road west of down town for coffee and some more great info. Thanks for all the Info Ironpony
