He can back up to Bowling Green and run the Cumberland parkway over to London KY then down 75.
At least on google maps it looks like he can make it a Riley parkway and run that around to 24.

 

I cant find any info on traffic thru there except power lines down on i40 earlier. I think if it was me I'd just go on down 65 and hit Briley(155) and just avoid the downtown area.

Also just a tip for future use. If coming out of Horicon/Wisc headed down to GA run 43 over to 39 south to 74 E to 57S to 24E to 75S and you can avoid Milwaukee/Chicago/Indy/ Louisville and the cluster#### i65 between Chicago and Indy.

I promise you will thank me later lol its not much longer if at all and when take into account the traffic and cities I guarantee its faster.

 

Ya I think Briley would be his best option

 

Also @Stillundecided that route I gave is the best route when leaving GA going back up to Wisconsin or Illinois. 1 route you hit 5 major cities or my route you hit Chatty and Nashville thats it.

 

Would you recommend taking it east or west?

 

I'm going to have to remember that, and yes, it does seem like it doesn't make much sense at first glance.

Take it East towards grand ol opry and just stay on 155 till you are back to the exit for I24

 

Also when coming from Wisc to Trenton I recommend taking the same route. If in Richfield take 43 to 39S to 74E to 70e in Indy. It adds like 20mins onto eta but you avoid Chicago and i65 cluster####. Its worth the 20 mins believe me
