Hi all,
There is a new requirement just at the time when we got a new authority. My husband is the owner and the driver. I registered him as the employer. But does my husband need to register as the driver separately as well to give an electronic consent to pull up a query?
I wasn’t able to pull up his record, an annual query that is required. I was getting a message his CDL number isn’t recognized. So weird. How to do this to be compliant?
Did you run into the same problems?

When I called the fmsca to try to figure out my portal password it said on the automated line that if you are a single driver operation that did not plan on hiring anyone then you didn’t have to sign up until you planned to hire someone. It could be like that because everything crashed at the deadline when people tried to sign up last minute........myself included
murat Thanks this. -

They could not have made this thing anymore complicated! I have a login and a portal, when I try to register for clearing house it reads I have to have permission from the portal WTF
Brettj3876 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
I was finally able to verify my husband’s CDL. I didn’t put any dashes with his number. His first name included first capital letter, the rest lower case. The last name needs to be entered the same way.
But then I was getting error messages when I was trying to pull up a query.
Since we just got authority we need to pull up preemployment full query. For rest who have been operating for awhile, a limited annual query is enough unless there are some violations or refusals to take drug test, etc. Then you need to proceed with the full query. -
Haven't tried yet ourselves....let em figure out kinks 1st
