Over 100 wow, you are the cage champion. My father had trucks, and I been driving for 45yrs. Think I may have caged 4 or 5.

True. Some trks only have maxis on 2 of the 4 brakes ( if its a tandem tractor).Rideandrepair Thanks this.

That tag on the double clamp one I think was the warning. The precursor to all the other warning labels we now read..when its quite obvious what the consequences are. Aluminum ladder against live wires, feet or fingers under a operating mower deck, hot coffee warnings and on and on. The land of litigation, and lawyers. Oh, and its not my fault, its someone else.spyder7723, Rideandrepair and Shawn2130 Thank this.

The clamp on the maxi is probably riveted, not bolted.adayrider, Rideandrepair and Shawn2130 Thank this.

Is there an easier way to get the brakes to release on a truck that won't run or a trailer that won't hold air?
-
Why is one that you need to use a cut off wheel to service the proper one to buy?
-
Yeah crimp the airline with vice grips, and back off the brake slack adjustment
Opendeckin Thanks this. -
Why crimp the air line if there is no air pressure?
-
I thought we were talking about leaking air chambers, They start leaking, and can’t over come the spring parking brake, and lose air, causing parking brake to set. Don’t know what you mean by no air? Air is leaking, till it’s so low, the brake starts dragging smoking. Hit the shoulder, pinch it off, back off shoes. Done it more than I’d like to remember.

The post I had been quoted in when I said id caged off probably over a hundred on the farm and shop. With an electric impact it's a fast way to get a non running truck into or closer to the shop. Or to move a storage trailer out of the way.stillwurkin and Rideandrepair Thank this.
