Volvo D13 misfire on cylinder #5

just a guess i would say you have a problem with #5 either bent valve or piston is toast. injectors wouldn't help did you try to run a mechanical compression test on #5 withe the rockers off and see what results are. I think this is the first time i see negative compression on a volvo engine.

 

Did the engine make any knocking sound... I tjink O have the same problem

 

Volvo d13s mechanic making a fortune of owner ops ok so on a Volvo d13 if theirs a mechanic fault on any or multiple cylinders does not necessarily mean bad injectors and cups first you have to check valve height make sure your cylinder head is specs are correct on the rocker arms the exhaust rocker has a jake brake piston these tend to loosen up on their on without being noticed

Hey Jay. I have a dd13. Cylinders 1, 2, 4 and 5 reading mid 60 compression. Cylinder 3 is 100. Cylinder 6 -36. Took head off, no issues. Rough idle. What should we check next?

 

How do they get a compression reading electronically like that? That's a first I've seen. Always done it with a gauge.
