Which have you guys had better luck with? W900 with a cm870 cummins or 4900 with a series 60. Both have the same specs I want. W900 has 150,000 miles on a rebuild while the 4900 has 250,000 less miles. Any opinions appreciated!
W900 or 4900

Western Stars a better built truck IMO.

What is the overall condition of both. Start there.
Oh and dose he have paperwork for the overhaul? If not assume it never happened.6rider Thanks this. -
Kenworth is a better truck, the S60 is the better engine. The cm870 were good, but the Detroit is way cheaper to repair.
6rider Thanks this. -
What is the total miles on both trucks to begin with
-
I would look at the price as well. The w900 is going to have a higher resell value when you are done with it

800,000 On the star, 1.1 million on the W9.
