How the mighty have fallen. Los Angels is a dump. Trash and tent city’s everywhere. They used to at least make an attempt. Can’t believe the amount of homeless right out on the sidewalk with tents blocking the whole block. And trash piled on top of trash. The city police have stopped by 3 times to tell us to find a parking spot or he is going to start writing tickets.

    Lol

    Prioritize buddy.

I know you don't have that option, but you know the way these late models are built. It's made to lift the body off to pull engine. ...like everyone has a lift in their shop !!

For sure I wish I had a lift to take the body off. They are made that way so not every one can work on them. Take it back to the dealer to get worked on. I'd likely have taken it to someone just to swap the old 3.5 out and out a new one in but since it's going 5.0 and theres a lot of little stuff and big stuff that's not compatible then i doubt any shop would have touched it unless it was big bucks. I can do it just sometimes have thought itd have been nicer to have paid someone.

At least the core support, radiator, & condenser all come out as one unit with 6 bolts and that gave me a ton of room to pull the engine.

We've wanted to put a lift in the shop but we would have to redo the rafters in order to get enough height for one.

Coincidentally i have a 74 w900A up in Mass to restore when my boy gets a little older and i plug a few of the current leaks in my wallet. Full manual steering will make that tons of fun in the quarry.
