Is It Wrong to Feed.........

I was at a bar in Montana. They had a sign: No dogs on barstools at the bar.

 

Thankfully Goober will only eat ffrom the bowl or plate AFTER we are done. He only wants to smell the food if the plate/bowl is full. Beer on the other hand........

 

The mini dachshund Oliver likes Budweiser or Stella no IPA's lol, has to have his little bowl around 8pm every night like clockwork

 

yes. i was told that it really teaches them to beg.

when we had cats, they were NEVER allowed to even sit on any dinning room or kitchen chairs.

they were fed in thier particular spot, either in the kitchen area, or the spare room, which was thier room, with a litter box and thier bed mats.

in all my years, i can not recall any of them, coming up to the table for a hand out.

we never had dogs, but same principle applies, you eat first, you're the alpha. once you feed the dog(s) before you eat, that basically let's them know they are first, and i was told, get an alpha dog complex and run the house.

I don't see a problem feeding the cats the same time as the people eat. They just probably should not be fed most human food. It's bad for them.
