You said the mechanic mentioned your tires as a cause, and he may have a point. You don’t want to get the cheapest tires on the market. Get something in between at least, but I’d recommend a tire quality between average and expensive.

I heard about it but didnt see it. Dont get to that side of the state much anymore.
At the time it was because the before alignment wear on them, those I believe were Michelin. Two new sets since, one Gladiator and current being Bridgestone and it still has the issue. Just got to finish working out the bugs this truck had when I bought it, I hope.PE_T Thanks this. -
If I were you, I’d take it ASAP to the MD Alignment in Kansas City. I’ve heard about this particular one several times in these forums.

Truck doesn't leave Florida so I'll have to get it done here. I've talked to the guys in KC and they told me to call Quick Align here.

Its not a truck thing when we were in a alignment shop yesteday. I got under the vehicle and examined everything. Found the gasket to end of tie rod split wont hold grease.
In the old days gaskets etc were not that expensive, but with the car you spin off the old tie rod end with bad gasket and spin on a replacement tie rod and realign to factory numbers as possible.
If anything the 40 dollar new part improved the numbers across the entire vehicle, considering how bad our freeway is beating on it. However for the time being that should be the end of the alignment 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness. -
Called today. Great guy. Spent 30 mins on the phone with me going over everything even taking some quick measurements then sent me a ton of info on more things to check till I can get it to him. Will definitely have him go over it and my trailer soon.

Please explain how they did this.
Inquiring minds want to know. -
Same as a frame or steer. Heat it up and push or pull.

He’s a great old school guy who prides himself on fixing things the right way.Tug Toy Thanks this. -
I would never allow anyone that even mentioned bending an axle touch my truck. Not even the steer axle.
But it’s your truck so whatever.
