Anyone remember her? Back in the days when they actually showed music videos instead of pushing alternative lifestyles?

    K guys. I need more edge-amacatin...
My new dispatcher is a sweet kid but quite young and inexperienced. So he tells me to make sure I get scaled by the axle on this load because another guy already out there is held up just over the line in Colorado...
So I get here and it's 60' gas pipe. Last time I did this was my first-est ever os load, last fall out of Wilder.
So another driver just left, he's got an the identical setup... 5th wheel gauge is showing about 22k lb. Whole load is about 42k lb.
I think I can work around the drive weight vs trailer weight. But by the axle? How is it possible to change that on this kind of load?

I am assuming you have a 48ft spread? The problem with that 60 ft stuff on a 48 is, all that overhang on the rear usually makes it over on the spread axles. Especially that rear axle. Some states weigh spreads as a group, some will weigh each axle indivually.

Not much you can do with the long stuff, except load it as far forward as possible.

I expect so. The 4*4 with chocks (wedges) nailed...
Iirc at Wilder they threw another plain 4*4 under the back, kicked it up a little bit.
