I posted a comment titled TMC Pay recently and how bad things has become. Well, since then. I left the company "On good terms" due to receiving a pay-check for only $66.00 for the week. I have a completley different view of this company now than I did at the beginning. I was once told at the Indy terminal that for every driver that leaves, they have three (3) recruits ready to replace him. I guess experience means nothing to them.

I have signed on with a much better company designed for vets. I will be paid more in one day no matter if have a load or not than i ever made with TMC in one day. For the past several month's I barely made over $200.00 a week. I was never late delivering a load, dropped the loads off early and did everything possible to increase chances to get a load, but nothing worked. I pulled into several truckstops while waiting for a load to discover 20+ other TMC trucks waiting for the same. I got the chance to speak with several other drivers and learned they were making the same amount of money I was. So, all new guy's keep this in mind when speaking to a recruiter.

Good luck to all current TMC drivers, I am glad I left the company.

200 bucks a week. You musta been proud. Didnt know that less than a year of trucking makes people vets nowadays. I almost at 10 yrs myself and i dont consider that being a vet either.

unlike the military theres no such brotherhood and loyalty to people by these trucking companies. The majority of them care only about themselves and what matters to them. Good luck hope you find what it is you are looking for.

My guess is he's talking about Roehl, they have an honor program for vets that is generating some buzz.

200 a week you can double that on unemployment. I sure hope you got something better by now. After working as a Carpenter for the last few years I need to get back in a truck, my company closed and work is real slow. I thought TMC would a good call because I hauled flats for about 4 years in the past but that pay aint worth it.

don't let them scare you, if u come in as an expeirinced driver the pay is much better than the recruits they are getting in, i must say from just the newbys i've talked with they are really getting f*****, and i mean royally.

It's the same for any new driver for any company. You aren't gonna get top pay if you are fresh out of school anywhere. You will get the bad, no paying loads for a little while regardless of what company you work for.
