Anyone?????
-
Little oil out the blowby tube is normal.
I've actually never seen an engine without a little oil on the blowby tube. It is a oily vapor coming out of there after all.
Both my detroits and all my cats leave there mark every night on the shop floor. Perty normal.
Now then If its covering your undercarriage in oil this is not normal. -
Ok , well I went under it today wile the motor was running at operating temperature and I put my hand over the pipe and held it there there seems to be quit a bit of pressure building, I think I am going to have to take it in and get checked out I think I may be in for some work

Can anyone flash this engine to higher hp or do you have to go to international????
-
I'm pretty sure only international can flash it.
There is an oil trap/vent at the rear left corner of the valve cover.
When the engine was replaced the vent may have been reused.
There not expensive but they are a PITA to replace. Take out the driver's seat and doghouse. -
Ok thanks be nice if I could flash to 350hp
-
You would need to replace the turbo and injectors and possibly the pistons as well.
The ones I used to look after the 310 hp could be flashed to 330 if I remember right.
$1500.00 for the flash from a dealer. The dealer advised against it he said we would hardly notice the difference.
