One of my daughters is in Venice, Italy.
I spoke to her today and they just quarantined everything until April 3rd, and she was due to come back April 1st.
No April Fools joke either.
Almost everything where people might gather is shut down there. A few grocery stores might still be open, but malls and restaurants and the like are all closed down.

 

yes but not as severe as what China did there. People can still work and get around.

 

Ok, so got 3 crates of machinery for frito lay plant. Crated and tarped on the way to laredo (only took 3 bloody tarps) but anyway, we are around Moab UT now and we gotta do a load recovery in TX on some Frame rails that will be late to portland otherwise. So get down to texas just to flip back around.

so picked up at w almart in Irwindale and Tcalled it here.
grabbing another load out of here and tcalling that back in jurupa terminal.
not sure if I will make it tonite.
4h30m left on 11 and 230 miles to do it.

My load to TX fell through.
The shipper never got a trailer loaded after a day of waiting, so it was voided.
A bit later I got a load to pick up a red tagged trailer and bring it here for repairs.

I was hoping for a nice backup load to that one, since I lost a very good load after a day waiting, but nothing yet.

 

made it here to jurupa with 20 minutes to spare. drove a little faster here in Calif than I normally do.
tcalledcthe load and grabbed an empty so I can go to San Diego for a 1100 live load tomorrow.
then I am taking it to beaver it to tcall the next day.
hopefully the replacement can get there.
I might just spend the nite in Barstow ca tomorrow

 

Trump just suspended all travel from Europe with the exception of Great Britain for 30 days starting tomorrow. And I think GB has banned travel from Italy.

So much for last minute discount flight to Copenhagen. At this point i want the corona virus just so i can get some new exotic immunity. Add the asian expansion kit. I fear child germs far more. Cause dead dosent scare me, but puking on my dash at highway speed does.

Meanwhile MGM resorts are closing thier Buffets...... Which is like putting a bandaid on a sucking chest wound.
