Yeah, You did a great job. I was always on pace for the 90 to 100k per year range, the 5 years I did extra board. So you're spot on with that.
The insurance of course is a huge deal. The pension... Depending on your area, yeah. Don't bank on it. My local fortunately has their own fund, so we are good. The rest of the country maybe not so much.
And I just really hope you like it there. The southern guys always seemed much happier than a lot of the northern drivers. It was a little more relaxed down there. Management acted like we stole something up north. Particularly at my terminal. The Dayton guys are pretty far north, but they're still pretty happy.
You got yourself a good job there, driver.Texas_hwy_287, Lumper Humper, Ribeye and 2 others Thank this. -
Does anyone know anything about the Portland, OR terminal?

i can’t speak for ABF, and apologize for highjacking the thread, but our (XPO) Clackamas terminal is hiring and starts at over $24/hr and tops-out around $30/hr in 2 or 3 yrs. Excellent benefits too. So far, I really like the company. I think line is something like $0.51 start to $0.69 top rate per mile.Rugerfan Thanks this.
