flu kills more people and they don't shut nothing down.
FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
It's the difference in fatality rate ... Corona kills at 3-5% ... If corona reaches the infection rates of flu, we're looking at 1.5-2 million deaths or more as the health network gets swamped.FerrissWheel Thanks this.

I'm tired of novel viruses, almost as much as I tire of grocery places.
I had a 2300 appointment at Fred Meyers in Puyallup, WA tonight.
I got there at 2200 and I got a door right away. They started unloading almost immediately.
Finally finished at 0400, and out of hours so I hit line 5 to get me over to the terminal in Sumner.
I took that load because of the followup load, picking up in Sumner and going to Bolingbrook, IL.
That is a nice 2,000 mile run. Preloaded and drop.
And because of all the crap they kept sending me.
After my TX load fell through the floor I was sent to pick up a red tagged trailer and deliver it to Lewiston. Then it was one awful offer after another.
My FM took steps to get me out of the west. There was nothing going east from Lewiston so I got this stack.
And my DM got me a couple days layover pay for all the BS waiting I went through in the past couple days.
I like the people I work with. They take good care of me.FerrissWheel, dptrucker and scottied67 Thank this. -
My daughter in Venice is now quarantined to the house, instead of just the city or country.
She says it is a good thing she is with a human she can tolerate, but she is bored out of her mind.
I was worried when she first went out there to meet someone face to face that she only knew from the internet, that I would never see her again.
Not so worried now.
She is with a guy she loves, as well as his mother and grandmother.
And she is right in the middle of an historic event in world history with this virus thing.
They are safe and virus free, with plenty of supplies in the house.

I think it will be very busy soon, Ive been driving through a few crazy events over the past 3 decades. These companies are really relying on truck drivers more than ever right now in history. Im taking no #### from anyone.
Favors come at a premium, we've been robbed for too long.Last edited: Mar 14, 2020

I stopped in at the Walmart in Dickinson, ND today.
So many empty shelves.
There was zero paper towels, toilet paper, bread, water, and the majority of aisles were pretty sparse.
I hate hoarders.FerrissWheel, Rugerfan, dptrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Sitting in Fontana terminal, deliver tomorrow. Student doing reset. Lumber of course.
Went and got some fish n chips at a tilted kilt. Place was dead practically. Bonus side to virus, very calm atmosphere and practically empty. Best service ever. Staying at a friends for the night. Uber drivers of course on and on about corona virus.Wasted Thyme Thanks this. -
jurupa terminal.
delivered the load of cans to Miller in irwindale. walked around looking for an mt with no luck. so bobtailed here.
wanted to start my day in mesquite nv but other driver got to beaver ut with me having only 1h20 left on 14.

guess trainee was only using cruise control to climb the hills. said he loom out the curtain and trainee was doing 40 mph with a 7000 lb load lol.
he had to switch on Salina ut cause trainee ran out of hrs
