I hear ya there! i worked for a friend that ran 3 case 2388's with 8 row heads, i ran one of the 2 kinze 1050 carts and had to constantly be haulin the mail to keep ahead of them. we never slowed down....if we got to the end of the feel and we were still unloading we just kept going... nothing like tryin to stay under the auger while your turning!
So how do they dry down rice? is it on the same lines as corn??

At the dryer they dry it with air. Most people have heat capabilities on the farm but just use the fans if at all possible. I'm guessing they have heat at the big dryer too but I'm not sure. One thing that is different is they salt rice in the field alot of times to speed up drydown. I've seen beans done that way but I personally have never seen corn salted. They also spray the early beans in Luzeanna with Gramoxone and that will dry them babies out. Last year bout 11 days after Gramoxone I hauled some beans that were 8.8% moisture.

Wheathauler I'm surprised a seed plant wouldn't have pits and legs.

I forgot I was gonna mention bout rice moisture. At the dryer/mill 13.5% is the break point. Above that goes to the green rice side and below goes to the dry rice/mill side. 13.0% is the break point for dockage.

Coreya701 that's some challenging buggy driving. That'd make me nervous.

Grain is slowing down here. Looked at load boards could go to Oklahoma but doesn't seem to be much coming back here. Some to Texas but not much coming out. Keep looking and then maybe haul some seed wheat next week. That is if they call.

Rather cool this morning lower 50's. I can't remember too many Augusts with this cool of mornings. Supposed to be in 70's today which is very cool for August. Almost can use word cold for this time of year. This is not helping crops mature.

Same here wheathauler. Rice farmers very nervous.

Does anyone currently use load boards on the Internet to find work?
Do you use one for back hauling?
Is there any interest in one?
