So I'm in my 2nd week fellas! Still enjoying it, challenged and slooowly noticing my progress.
I am able to do a "straight back" with no assistance, the key, I found, is making sure my trailer is straight before backing up (actually making sure my trailer is straight before doing anything is key). I was told to move towards my off-set. The challenge begins! But again, I "get it" in principle. The panic begins for me when I lose sight of the cone. Though I know to quickly change directions and it'll appear, I still panic when I lose it. Then there are those who mean well in coaching me but saying things like,"turn completely and hold it for 3 seconds then cut it the other way" don't take into account how fast I'm reversing, I mean, right?
Anyway, today there was a new teacher who I met once before and has been very helpful, who apparently wasn't impressed by me telling him I did the offset and wanted me to do the alley dock. Intense! with his help I was able to do it but it was humbling nonetheless.
I will be showing up tomorrow and keeping at it, this WILL be accomplished.
Just wanted to update you guys!

Spend all your free time studying your pre-trip inspection and you’ll be rolling down the big road in no time. -
Before long you will wearing flip flops and urinating in parking lots...keep up the good work!
Richierich76, Hazmat Cat and Vic Firth Thank this. -
You are on your way! Might as well start saving your Gatorade bottles now.
