Our school division hasn't cancelled yet.... Pain in the arse. I have not trucked in a few years. Used to haul pickups to the oilsand sites after i was wrenching at the dealer. Me and the wife own a school bus company now. We have to sanitize each bus between runs. All I smell is bleach.

So was kinda proud my wifes brakes lasted 97k. Thought maybe she only drives bad when I'm in the car?
Rotors looked like a clean up pass and a finish would do the job. I never seen a set of rotors warped so bad. 4 passes to tru them up. Didn't get rotors finished till 830pm. Now put the buggie back together. Wish I was cheap and didnt care and pad slapped it. Could have been done by 400pm and knee deep in puppers. She would have never known the difference.

I ain't turned rotors since they started cheapin' them up and we had to start putting the torque wrench on the lug nuts. Slap them on and let them wear in. The cheap pads wear in fast.... Ya just gotta change them more often. It's a good excuse to go to the shop and drink beer....singlescrewshaker, cke, 1951 ford and 10 others Thank this.

Its horrible up here right now. Any public facility funded by the city is closed to the public right now. If you ever thought it was boring here, try and imagine the place now lol. Even the animal shelter is rumoured to possibly be closing to the public in the next day or 2. That really sucks. The puppies always brighten my day.Eldiablo, singlescrewshaker, cke and 7 others Thank this.

I turned rotors once in my pre-app 12 years ago. Even then the instructor told us we'd probably never ever do this in the real world.Eldiablo, singlescrewshaker, cke and 7 others Thank this.

Idk, the OEMs lasted 97k, this means I most likely will not own it for the next set. I buy good pads for my stuff. Makes more time for beers in my eyes. Plus everytime in my life I tried being cheap it has bit me in the arse.
I was surprised it had rotors that could be turned. So many are throwaways now.
Edit, Canine I get it. But sometime I just wanna drink beer in the shop. Skimp on the work part!Eldiablo, singlescrewshaker, cke and 9 others Thank this. -
Ya don't have to tell them....just cause it takes twenty minutes they don't have to know the other three hours and forty minutes was spent in the bar. Just don't call them for bail money.Eldiablo, singlescrewshaker, cke and 9 others Thank this. -
When guys talk about the B motors and the timing advance, can someone explain what/how it works. Something with helix as the plunger/barrel turns.?
I thought they were fixed timing i didn't realize some were 24-28°singlescrewshaker, cke, Lysdexis and 3 others Thank this. -
Everything in fort sask, Sherwood park, Edmonton is closed. Can't even go to the ski hill. When schools close, and they will, gonna be a lot boring. Hopefully it stays cool so we can go ice fishing. If not, warm up so we can go camping.singlescrewshaker, cke, 1951 ford and 7 others Thank this.
