Pilot car escort load board?

Com Data has a loadboard for escorts from what some have said.
Be kinda like working for a bottom feeder.
But I guess it's a place to start at.

 

Anyone know if you can have a pickup camper as a pilot car..thinking of way to save on motels and still be rested...is there any laws against this

 

Pretty sure some states say “pilot driver must have unobstructed view out rear window.

a rear view camera may accomplish the same thing , dunno .
The extra wind drag from a cabover camper will Probabaly cost the same as a cheap motel.

 

Seen plenty with toppers. Toss an air mattress and fan back there and you will have plenty of options of sleeping open to you.

 

A full-sized van that you convert will work as long as you don't raise the roof. There may still be jurisdictions that regulate vehicle sizes, weights etc.
One thing is to insure trucker visibility around a lead car and public visibility around a chase car.
I have sent cars home for just this reason depending on the states/provinces I will travel in with that load.
