This is gonna be a long one so id like to give as many of my observations as i can remember.

Ah ok slows the pump tad for earlier injection. When we picked up the mech p7100 this guy had cat pumps there to, anything from little dozens up though the 3406. Lots of farm stuff too. This guy went to school in late 60-early 70s for this.

Fair price for our pump 1800. Used John deer plungers/barrels. Said something about them pushing more fuel, can anyone attest to this? Flow tested on his bench at 525-550cc cant remember but we have it written somewhere. I think it's 535cc. We're leaving the puff limiter on for now. Hes hoping we see 50psi.

He suggested going wastegate turbo. Said it would get the spool up like a 1.15 but once it dumps at 45 he says then it will flow like a bigger A/R. Can it still keep egts in check? Under full load. 171702 don't spool till 1400 but i won't lug it down past 1500. Get 42 all the way from 1400-1850. Pyro will touch a 1000 on a hard pull at 1600-1650.

He says prob no more that 20° but dad and I are both thinking less. Hold on a sec. I know lowering comp + more fuel + more boost, injection needs to start earlier. I was also reading when throwing a LOT of fuel and boost you want to very very slightly retard it to keep peak cyl pressures in check. Not so far back your pyro shoot up quickly.

This is going to be a new learning curve since Ive never drove a mechanical before. Be in the jump seat with pops for a bit. Im glad he's trusting of me to not kill her. Something about that truck im very attached to/sentimental. (Mainly bc it's a inline pump and not newer with unit pumps like the 99." LOL. I couldn't ask for a better day.

So who wants to take bets (not really, mods don't think it's legal right)

This guy really doesnt do macks so i think he's underestimating how much it's all ready putting down. Ex. Doing sandbox work all of had same amount of sand on. Left 500 60 series in the dust along with 500 ISX's. I was neck and neck with 550 cats that were stock, gaining a truck length on em if it was a long pull. Few that had a tune/turbo BLEW my doors off like i was still.

Im thinking we might need the 1.45 at if she heats up quick or is there a better turbo option for 625-650 hp on a 11.9L

I shut up and listened the whole time. He was so happy some younger generation punk was intrigued by this. I could tell his eyes lit right up.

He just got building a 2500hp 5.9 12v pushing way over 100psh on 3 turbos and using less cc's of fuel than a guy with 3250hp. I guess antrim calls him for advice all the time. He said i can post his name if it's ok @MACK E-6

I hope i can convince my dad to let me buy it. When he retires in 8-12 years he'll give it to me but I'll feel better about myself buying it

@Tall Mike when we're pulling sand boxes over on us15 those hills over by Mansfield all but 1 I could l pull in big hole .62 and pyro just touched 1000 at top and the fan wouldn't come on if it was cold outside.

Just wish she's was 260-265wb or so.

I finally escaped the sunburn state, got to the other side of Ohmylanta.. AND scored middle of the night parking @ a pilot that isnt make-a-spot or make-you-poor.

Thats like 3 cherries on the trucker slot machine of life.

The beads and centering pins helped alot on the international. Which still shakes. Havent figured out what's going on there. Been looking for aluminums to run on it. Just gotta find a deal on them.

Check your driveshaft slip spline for wobble.. Lay under and benchpress the yoke ends and the slip joints. If it wobbles look closer. When you pull a ujoint cap out, measure the inner diameter with good calipers in two dimensions, they go egg shaped and vibrate too. A million mile driveshaft is probably gonna shake. They do wear out. Ten thousandths egg shape is shot.. Maybe even less.
