So, I'm the mother of brsims. I told him at one point , when he was
looking for a job, to try and find something that he really loved. I didn't,
in all honesty, actually mean truck driving, but he found it and he loves it, so.... I've read a lot of what's posted here, and I guess, if I'm looking
for something to do --which I am--that maybe starting some kind of
advocacy group for you guys might be it. You're usually the target of
retstrictive legislation because 1.You're big 2. You're intimidating and
3. No one seems at all interested in hearing your side of the debate.
Now, I've raised an Irish kid and any number of Alaskan Malamutes (who
are willing to debate any given demand at any given time) so maybe
we can get together to actually clear up someof the misconceptions about what truckers do. As in "If you need it you're gonna need a trucker to bring it!" So I'm thinkin' maybe a newletter where you can all vent and
(possibly) come up with a plan of attack (no, no, that's not what
I meant--violence against insensitive, too stupid-to-live management
is wrong. Or so I have been told--repeatedly.) A plan to address some
of the problems.
