Low freon 90% of the time is the reason that itll just stop working. 5% the low or high pressure switch failed. The other 5% would be a hard part failure.

Me and a few guys at work all swear by zephyr 40. They also make a semi course polish, I believe it's called zephyr 20, that works well too. It sorta makes an initial cut and cleans the aluminum, then the 40 brings up the shine and clears up the fine scratches.

 

Back in my day there was so much toilet paper that we festooned the homes of our enemys.
