It wont happen. Didnt happen when there was a quarantine for boston bombers hunt, didnt happen during malheur national forest standoff. There will not be a revolution toward more freedom and independance because no one is organized or funded on the free american side against everyone hyper organized and funded on the socialist/communist side.
The only people that will revolt are the ones with a generation of EBT living, when it is cut off. And they will revolt for less freedom to get their stuff back. They will lash out of ignorance and anger, not knowing they are doing the work of rich, ivy league trojans and foreign governments.
Civil unrest is always an important component of changing governments.
And no president is gonna save anyone either. Tired of hearing that one.

After 9-11 prices darn near tripled in fuel. It was probably the worst timing to fill at something around 6.00 a gallon give or take for 300 plus gallons later that morning at the Stoneyridge TA.
One truckstop a inde on I-30 was found guilty of gouging prices and made to repay all the profit and then some. Because we are allowed by our law to raise pricing on a gallon or whatever is for sale 10% but no more in emergency declarations.
The current actions by Amazon and Ebay and others show that there are predators who profit enormously and for a time ran wild with little 100.00 squirt bottles of stuff that anyone for most of their lives could have bought at 1.25 at any time in all their years passing through in better times. But they did not buy these bottles in good times or much of anything. Whenever a section of the USA talked about prepping or similar they were essentially demonized and laughed out of society by the herd in general.
Now the herd has had about a month of buying everything hand over fist in our stores that are relatively small and fight over the last scraps of whatever due to a panic. We go through this every week at payroll time.
Today there is literally no need to go to the store and participate in the buying. All that was to be bought was bought before this virus reached the USA. We go through this every time. In the past living in Maryland all a weather man has to do is speak the words "6 inches of snow tomorrow morning" and I guarantee you every single store in the entire state and surrounding areas are stripped by bed time. Nothing new.catdog45, truckdriver31, G13Tomcat and 1 other person Thank this. -
People need to face a reality when these things are taken for granted however when there are false flags thrown about that cause panic while there is no real need for it then those who profit profit off of those who don't think clearly seem to take advantage of irrational thinking.
a couple with three kids in the next booth at the restaurant mentioned we were at this morning that they washed down their entire house with bleach and cleaning products not once but four times so my daughter pointed out that many of those cleaning products have chemicals that are much worst than the Wuhan corona virus and could eventually cause cancer in the kids if exposed to it too much. She also said that there has been no cases where the kids have been sick from it.
X1, the owner admitted to his need to raise the price to cash in. He said his normal 18 cents per gallon wasn't enough. Truck stops make close to 40 cents on discount and more than that from non-discounted prices.
As for gouging, no one forces people to buy.
We don't have a soviet style economy where we are told shoes are available and if we don't stand in line for 8 hours for a pair of unmatched shoes three sizes too small we miss out, do we?
And if those on FB Market Place don't sell their stuff at an inflated price, isn't it too bad?
I guess I look around in this industry, we don't want government involved but we want the freedoms to work as we see fit. We should be in a free market and if some don't survive, well that's how it works.catdog45, x1Heavy, truckdriver31 and 2 others Thank this. -
