State highway in Nevada near Carson City. It was marked 15% or 18%. Can't remember exactly. We went down that one with a relatively light load. It has some blind 180 degree turns that are marked at 15mph too.
Steepest grade you ever pulled or went down.....

CA 108 Sonora pass, 26% in my pickup truck. I go camping there, i see trucks every once in a while try to go over it, most get jackknifed in the turns. Not advised for 30 ft or longer to go over. Flatlanders from the midwest can't read i guess.

Not sure what the route number is but I've run it up and down many times. I think it is Pa 208. It runs parallel to I80 in Pa between the Emlenton exits 42 and 45. It's posted at 9%. I've always done it with a set but if you have a 48' or longer you have to cross the center line to avoid the side of the mountain going down the hill and the cliff going up on sharp blind curves. The tanker yankers running down to Petrolia, Karns City, and Parker know the hill I'm talking about.

I've done the road ms. pilot mentioned, at night, with one head light out. That happened at a very ungood time, there is NO PLACE to stop on that section of road and the passenger side light died there.
Also 9% on some road coming from VA or W VA into PA I don't remember which it was but it was a 9% grade, 55 when you start at the top of the grade, 35 at the bottom with a cop right behind the 35 sign.

Me, 13% in British Columbia...used to run B.C. all the time and they do not have the same laws for highways that the U.S. has...

The steepest one I've run a few times is on Pa 208 but the worst to me is Bald Eagle on Pa 350 which I now go down every night and back up every morning. The first part is real steep, it has bad curves, and especially in the morning bad traffic. The worst part of the road is once you get to the bottom of the big grade. It's a long slight downgrade with some deceptive curves, heavy traffic, and awful fog. Even though it's posted at 55 on that stretch you'll find most experienced drivers running about 50 on the southbound side.
