I need a gps. I was going to buy a garmin, but I saw tonight about the Hammer.

I know they are trying to continually improve it, but is it good enought to rely on?

I do have an atlas, but how does this compare to any regular gps that you would buy?

I use it. I have run into very few problems. 1 it thinks a 2 mile section of I80 in illinois is not truck route, and that the parking area in front of the scales at Alton Steel is not their entrance. Other than that, pretty satisfied with it.

It’s okay I still like my Garmin though, had a few issues with it trying to put me on routes that would have taken a little longer than what the Garmin would’ve.

Actually I still have a little time before I fully get started.

I was going to buy the Garmin so that I had one when I do get started, but if the hammer is pretty good I'll just use that and my Atlas and Google Maps.
