I've not heard of that happening but i've not been into canada in the truck either. Did you ask or did they say what they were doing when they plugged it into your dash?

NO I didn't ask as most of the Quebec scale guys Ive ran into seem to get upset when you make them speak English, I hope they are not "ALL" like that, lol

If you're in Canada I would imagine it has to do with the governed truck thing. Ontario and I believe Quebec require trucks to be governed at the equivalent on 65 MPH which I think is around 120 KPH??.. I have not run up there in years but this is a big issue in my region because many O/O's and companies run to Ontario and Quebec. They were checking to make sure your truck is governed at the appropriate speed. You must be or you would have got a nice fine.

There is a lawsuit going on right now about this. It was brought by an O/O from Guelph, Ontario.

yep, he was checking to make sure your truck is set to the Gov't mandated speed restriction, and this is one more reason why I won't go to Canada.

It is the reason I have not went to Ontario or Quebec. The rest is not that way.

Just to set things straight, it must be set no higher than 105 kph. which is about 65mph.
