Oh don't worry, I can pee *ON* the Turnpike just fine.

Since all the booths are unmanned now,,,,

I'd recommend toll workers use gloves when they come back.

Please tell me the southern tier still remains as natural and beautiful as it was when I stopped going the ten years ago. I ran across 17 to go to Elmira or Cornell most everyday thru the week for two years or so. I really miss the peace and quiet up there.

The scenery is still nice that’s about it..

Upstate is being overrun with NYC castoffs. Binghamton where I grew up is a rundown dump it’s like being in one of the five boroughs.

That really sucks. When I first started out with my last ex-wife, we used to meet when I'd get through Binghamton on a weekend. She'd make a trip down from Connecticut and spend two days in the truck with me. There was a lot to do in that small city and everyone was pretty friendly.

    Look on the bright side,
Maybe they'll never bring back those toll workers. They just proved they don't need them.

I confess, with me they have been.

I stopped using EZPass in my personal car years ago and because I'm always in a truck I never give it much thought. When I was shopping for a new car last year I had to go on a few trips to NJ and had to remind myself not to blow through the EZPass gates.

The car fare into PA on 78 is only a buck (and can be avoided anyway) and I had my dollar ready. Little old library lady in the booth was very polite "welcome to Pennsylvania young man." Hah!

They hardly see any people in that job now that EZPass is so prevalent.

    Now,,,, GWB tollworkers,,,,

Lol. It seems it's a 50/50 shot. Some are like that little old librarian, some are like the grinch all year long. I hate to say it, but the miserable ones stick out for some reason. Ohio doesn't seem as bad to me, but I spend more time in pa, so my take on it is probably skewed.

I'm an Ohio guy but man I love PA....love every tiny little town I have ever been through (especially Lock Haven) excluding Pittsburgh. But I was like WOW when I saw this ....then they changed it to open for truck and added porta potties. But the thought of just closing the rest areas off from all parking kinda blew my mind and I can't for the life of me figure out how someone thought that was a acceptable idea! Trucks need them for sure 100%!
