Anyone drive for SC Fuels? Been looking into them for their wethose/bobtail fueling gig. Website says lifting 70lbs is a requirement for the job. Would the bobtail be a good start for a beginner?

Is this a "squirt truck" job?....if the pay is right and you don't mind working then yes.

It's the grunt work of fuel hauling multiple stops up and down on equipment fueling up in construction sites and the like. Unlike the truck and trailer companies that gravity drop usually drop a whole load at one station/customer.

I can tell you that the SC fuel wagons I see at the racks are in the diesel lanes 99% of the time. Hauling diesel sucks, it smells, it will make you smell, it sticks to everything and doesn't evaporate, all your fittings and hoses will be slimy, it's just a mess. But with that said I would imagine gasoline is about to slow down majorly so it might be a good time to get into fleet refueling since delivery trucks will be the only vehicles on the road if things don't improve. Look at traffic right now in LA at 6:30am on a wednesday. Everything is wide open.....

Got a good chance at getting a wethose gig with sc fuels pretty close to home. Figure it could be a good start into this side of the industry. Would doing this for a year or so satisfy the better fuel hauler companies fuel/tanker experience requirements if I applied to the better ones after a year or so?

It'll get you carded at the racks, and that will definitely help.
