I'm getting to be the same way. When my 3 year old pickup is worn out, I'm buying 80's and 90's Chevys. This junk they're building now ain't worth the $50k asking price.

2010 seems to be a hard cut off to me. I live like A redneck won the state lotto in 2005.

the c6 was the last great corvette. Specifically the Z06 ;) but the ZR1 has a special place as well!

10-4 I may have spoken a little hastily. I'm willing to bump pickups to 2006 built early '07 models that are pre dpf, minus the 6.0L Ford.

I don't mind that body silverado, & do like the c6 vette. I'm a Mopar fan at heart though. I am unfamiliar with the center stack of vette, but if it has one of the "infotainment" systems, or whatever they are called I wouldn't like that part about it.. I could be wrong, but if the "infotainment" are wired anything like a phone, or computer they will be outdated & useless in a year 2.. I don't have a vehicle with one, but I'd imagine say a 2010-2011 infotainment system would be a horrible glitchy nightmare by now. If someone has one, I'm sure I'll be rightly corrected..

Those are nice vehicles you got there Tug, & honestly I'd be proud to own either. One thing I gave up to try this trucking gig has been a nice personal vehicle. I'm not home enough right now to care, so I have a '03 Durango with 190k on it that I use to run errands when I'm here. Think I've put all of 6k miles on it in a little over 2years..

When I bought mama's 05 caddy it developed some issues and I had a kid that was willing to give me a hand getting it figured out. His dad owned a body shop south of me....fantastic family!!!!

They had bought a Z06 wrecked...bad. George showed me the welder they had to buy specifically for that vet. They cut it in half and clipped it but they followed the book doing it to the t. The way I understood it was the aluminum frame had to be done with this specific welder.

I talked to Chris after they got it together.... He said I will never drink and get in that car. He used to drive it to the lake often. Said that thing will scare the crap outa ya.
