They're a grocery carrier (contracted) with grocery warehouses as customers. I believe the freight is palletized however. Their equipment is Int'l trucks. Supposedly home often. This is from ads in the throw-away pamplets at truck stops.

I ran for them for about a year and a half as a local shuttle driver.
The pay was hourly and mediocre by any standard.
When I started it was all no touch freight (drop & hook or live unload).
There was no forced NYC (now I hear there is).
Mostly foodstuffs and beverages to grocery warehouses and such.
They paid all lumper fees by ComCheck.
I had no complaints until they started making the drivers lump the
freight for no extra money and forced NYC runs.
Don't know why they suddenly changed their policies.
I told them I would pull the freight off for half what
the lumpers were charging -- they said no, I had
    to do it for nothing.

The shippers have already paid for the lumpers in advance.
And they want the drivers to lump the freight for free.
So where is the money going??...right in the dispatcher's pocket!
They have a nice little scam going on at the driver's own expense.
Then they got the Shop-Rite accounts in the tri-state area.
Most of those stores are so tight you can barely get a
pup trailer into their docks let alone a 48' or 53' (many of
them were originally designed for straight trucks).
And again it was all driver assist unload for no extra $$$.
In the end I hurt my back and went out on work comp
after which I found something else.
If you don't mind lumping the freight for free and going
into NYC half the time than go for it.
    No thanks...not interested.

They dont provide miles. Ive been here a year at carlisle carriers and my paycheck has never been consistent. At the beginning of my year I was seeing the initial good paychecks of like $950.00 after deductions. That didn:t last long and soon I was bringing home less and less like 550.- 750. On a more cosistant basis. Definately not worth your 70 hours out on the road with them. You will enjoy plenty of extended stay live loads and unloads here at carlidle as well qith an average dock time of 5-6 hours at 10. Dollars an hour after the first two hours. They employ homosexuals if you like that kind of stuff and plenty of disrepectful lazy ####### also that are totally antisocial with whites. The office staff is nice for the first few months and you will soon see the resemblance of a nazi regime as you progress into a downward spiral. They play favorites and give a click of drivers 3000 miles while giving everyone else 1900 miles. There are way better choices for you out there than these people trust.

Agreed. They are very good for out of school drivers or, five to seven year CDL drivers. Combining the aggressive NE area with their customers there are definitely better places to work. I tried it for a couple months and found the check in customers treat carlisle as understudies or lesser , underclout.
Sadly the office claims It's family but it feels
Like a heirechy of surfdom where they went to college and feel clerical should prevail over this road King. It will not last CC Corp, and hopefully not much longer, and yous can learn that.
Also, the co. is too hire and fire happy. There's 'too many ppl with a say' and we done know how'd wont work. Also it is grocery so if there is OS and D damages and you want a load you have to store the freight overages in your truck(there's no additional pay for this).

Another update on this fiasco of a co. Ran by an office of self-entitled degree propositioned lackees- the last check claimed I barely ran thousand miles and gave me 400 dollars.
    Poppy ####!
I know they, at liberty, deducted what they felt was necessary (all during corona) mind you- just avoid, no hire no!
    please close this place!
wtf. now my family and pay check is at the liberty of chubby PA office women?!?!
No dudes....any other inquiries to Carl Careers please message me confidentially...
