Mine needs a new sending unit. Sometimes it works, other times it reads way low. Like you I have 240 gallons capacity according to the tank plate. But like others have said there has to be space left for expansion so I'm guessing you end up with only 200-210 gallons of fuel. I know my average miles per gallon and just fill up when I guess I've burned 150-180 gallons. That will easily take me 1200 miles. If I need to go a couple more hundred I can. So basically fuel every 2 days, unless I can buy it cheaper somewhere. It's nothing to worry about. Just buy fuel whenever it's convenient for you.
