There is a 25 cent O ring that goes bad from time to time in the valve. Depending on your dash it can be a pain to disassemble. On my Cascadia it's a breeze. Blew one in a International dump truck once and drove home 3 miles at a time, stopping to build air. Lol

@Opus Nothing wrong with that. Better to know your range than not.

Clint Eastwood taught me that about 40 years ago.
"A man's got to know his own limitations. "

That whole area is empty. I came out of Quanah Tx headed S this morning about 4am and didn't see another vehicle for over 2hrs.

Traffic is almost non-existent in DFW too.

dwells40, WesternPlains and 650cat425 Thank this.

I went through that act once last year with a bad brake chamber. Stopping at red lights required kicking it into neutral and flooring it to build pressure back up.

You could watch a YouTube video and figure it out. But do yourself a favor and find an independent repair shop, dont go to a dealer and get screwed on the labor rate, the cost of the part and the fact that it'll take them 6hrs just to get you in.

This is assuming you own your truck and the $ is coming out of your pocket. If you're a company driver, then just pull over to the side of the road, call your dispatch or whoever you need and tell them you hear air leaking and you need a tow. Then just sit back and lick the window while you wait.

Why is 'licking the windows' so frowned upon?
I mean, how else are you going to get the boogers off??

On a side note, and not trying to derail this thread back to the original question, if I screwed this up, it would be a minimum $2,000 screw up, (before they came to fix my screw up).
On the other hand, I can probably get it done for less than $200.
Like Clint said, "A man has to know.......".

I might know what the problem is. But I generally let the shop fix it. If they screw it up they get to refix it.
