Was a little different for me when I started pulling a chemical tank. First 10 months I had 11 DOT inspections. 2 level 1 and 9 level 2. Then I got on a dedicated pulling non Hazmat and didn't get another one for the next two years when I left the company. It's like those placards look like $$$ signs to the dot.

I made it home. After my tour of the western US. Doh!
    I'm done with this job.
Going back to Crete next week.
Polly is gonna like it. Truck is like the Taj Mahal compared to what we've been in for the last week.

Well, I wish you the best.
Sometimes the reason you left are still there. But maybe they got the message.
    Best of luck

They did. I got an apology from upper management. Should have never happened.

For dinner this evening, coddle and soda bread are on the menu. Coddle is currently in the oven, soon to be removed to stand, then made from scratch soda bread will be going in to bake. Plenty of butter is awaiting the loaf of bread.

Coddle requires several items to be seared in a skillet prior to assembling in the dutch oven for baking. When thats finished, some slices of sourdough are placed in the pan and toasted in all the goodness of the pan drippings. You need a snack when making this, takes at least an hour in the oven. Then the bread takes 45 minutes.

I just heard that the Fmcsa thanked all the Drivers for their Service. Must be they’re way of showing some Love. In a crazy ex girlfriend kind of way.
