My name is Max, I'm bailing out of the patch in West Texas. Was laid off recently. I've got experience with Crude, water, sand, flat & winching... Not sure if I want to stay in the oil buz, but I do own my own '13 Volvo, with a crude kit on it. Any profitable ideas for me? I'm seriously looking to go back OTR if I don't find something in the Midland area soon... (PS; I'm thinking of just flat out getting rid of the rig & going company driver!!!) I'm tired of the repair bills!!
How's it looking out in the patch?

As I was moving out of what i thought would be my new "home" for a while. There were "New Recruits" moving in to replace me that same week!!! I didn't do my homework on this company and got bit by one of those that don't give a #### about the guys that work for them... only they're bottom line. I later found out, the more you complain, the more you're out the door!!!!
PS; the oil patch in W.Texas is definitely on the bottom / highly volatile fer now. I'd suggest to anyone...Keep looking in a more stable environment. I'm looking to go back over the road myself! It's gonna take months or maybe years to come back to high profitability again.rabbiporkchop and speedyk Thank this. -
Any updates on how the oil patch is doing?

The pickups with dayglo flags and a few well service trucks were running around Farmington when I went through today. Didn't see much signs of new holes, one former nitrogen hauler was running LNG trailers for someone else.

Did you talk with Great Lakes? They seemed nice on the phone.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
Midland now up to at least 80% capacity, probably higher, at night.
No big company 3rd parties at the drops. All smaller independents I’ve never heard of, but lots of them.MoneyCat, speedyk and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
I got a cement hauler wanting me back. Pneumatic tanker. Much of the work was to ND Oil Fields. Checking I've done with the cement plant here. It's still slow.
