The main problem is the lack of hospital beds available. If it spreads too quickly, and people can’t be treated, more will die. A lot more. The goal is not just the obvious, to avoid the spread, but most importantly to slow the spread, so the system can handle the ones who will need hospital treatment.
National 2 week quarantine??

God, let’s all just stop and truly think about what was just said here gentlemen. What if your Mom/Dad, sibling, son or daughter, etc was bad sick and the hospital is full and they also won’t let you inside. But, you also know people are just lining the hauls in beds with those with the greatest chance of being saved getting the attention. I don’t know about you guys but I would be tearing down doors and risking my life to make sure my loved one got taken care of.
Let’s not let it get to this point. I fully support what we are doing right now and I’m surprised at myself to be saying this. I brushed it off for quite a long time. Now, we’re still working but we are staying home as much as possible and no longer visiting family or sending our kids to each other’s houses. That scenario above and my love for my family and people makes it better safe then sorry.Last edited: Mar 22, 2020

H1n1 that I got 1st Jan was a virus, type A family with a subclass number not germaine to me.
They issued Tamiflu to me for 5 days. 100 dollars worth of medicine from India. I believe it saved my life during the evening and morning of days three to four. IVirus attacked my brain. If i had worsened I would have had my caregiver take me in to ER and go from there. for about 30 hours I did not know my own name. But kept calm and read books to take mind off the problem. If it did not clear up going into day 5 I would have gone back in for higher care which probably would have been end of life.
Took me three weeks to get over it, a week to get rid of it about 7 weeks before I started being treated as a human again.
Hit the stores this morning at 6 sharp. Unforunately the entire county hit the same store at 6 am sharp yesterday AM. 3 people peace and quiet turned into 400+ bedlam and babel in about 30 minutes. I managed to score the very last bale of my preferred brand of TP even though I had a years worth on hand.
Pulse Oxygen saturation has been falling and as long the heart rate is 60 and bp is below DOT limits I don't think there is a problem yet. Episodes of 90% I prefer to be 95% to 99% on room air. Its a small subtle change. We'll keep a eye on it. I'll stick the thing on my ex in the morning see what values she is running.Rideandrepair and PE_T Thank this. -
Using your numbers, 295 deaths in 23,000 cases, that's a .012% death rate.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Covid19 is 3 times more contagious and ranges depending on country 10-30 times more deadly. Also the recovery takes longer. The greatest fear is the healthcare system will collapse. In the midst of this pandemic minor injuries not Covid19 related will be deadly.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I can’t find out the % of people over the age of 64 in the world. It may be around 20%. A couple billion people isn’t a big deal I reckon in the long term
