Just delivered this morning and they couldn’t accept the BOL or sign my paperwork confirming receipt of product due to concerns about Corona Virus contamination. Everything needed to be faxed or eMailed. It was a tanker load, so they weren’t concerned about the product. I can’t make this stuff up... it is getting “weird” out here!

I think he has a smartphone, in which case, he can just send an email or use a fax app.

How come dock personnel are even dumber than the general herd? You can't get the stupid virus from swapping some paperwork. Have them use their pen. People have gone nuts.

    It does not matter anymore.

Virus lives on copper 4 hours. Stainless steel up to three days and two nights. Cardboard less than a day.

Nothing survives bleach with hydrogen peroxide as a backup. Dunk dunk fizz fizz. You want some bubbles with that Mr Dock Boss?

Fast way to get banned or tossed from there. When they get neurotic it's time to go home for a while. Or 4 months. This will blow over sooner or later. We always ran on a dead or alive thing anyhow.

I value critcal thinking and reason over fear. However these two items are the first to go when a more base' group of workers or humans of low class and jobs that really don't have any meaning decide that everything is infectious don't touch anything.

Again if it was me, I would go home for 4 months or more. (I already am....) so over this Covid19 thing.

Jersey shut down today, one of my shops emailed me this afternoon stating that he will no longer be able to order inventory in a meaning ful delivery from Jersey and other states like Illinois that also has shut down.

HE will shut down within a month or so. IF Arkansas does not go ahead and shut down anyway.

the biggest problem is nothing to do. So you sit on the net and complain about nothing to do. At least in online gaming you can hunt humans and take them out.

    The Journal of Hospital Infection:
A new analysis found that the virus can remain viable in the air for up to 3 hours, on copper for up to 4 hours, on cardboard up to 24 hours and on plastic and stainless steel up to 72 hours.
Many stores won't take cash or coins; just use credit card or debit card so the cashier doesn't have to touch them.

    alds and rachi Thank this.

You can pick up the virus from touching something, including paper, from somebody who's been infected, same as the flu.

    tscottme and peterd Thank this.
