I’ve been hauling nothing but hazmat for almost 2 years now and been inspected 0 times in Oregon and Washington. But I think it helps that we are a private company that hauls our own products.

Now may I ask you a question?
What option does a driver have when faced with a situation that forces him to sacrifice his license to that company. Other than quit.RidgeRunner731, Rcranch81, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -
I should add.
I never left Crete, on the books. I still have all my benefits, insurance and all.
I have two I left. They are asking me to come back. No thank you.
Also.... my first job. I fought tooth and nail to hold on for one year. Simply to show that I am stable. It was hell.Rcranch81, lovesthedrive and 650cat425 Thank this. -
I might add....
The only problem with Magnum. Bryce and his safety department. He wouldn't give me the video for that bad ticket I got. It would have proved my innocence. I was faced with a judge that required proof. I left only because of Bryce. Otherwise wonderful company. I was asked to issue a letter after I left. 5 pages of praising departments and paricular people. One page of telling them that Bryce is a Barney Fife. Decided to get back at me.
Found out from HireRight. They slandered me...which in writing is libel. Couldn't get it on my csa. So they put it on HireRight. Said I had a preventable backing accident. When it was a matter of obvious Insurance Fraud. And their own dash cam proves it. The guy should have gone to jail.
Right now... Magnum is answering to the Government Consumer Reporting Agency for this. That was referred to by HireRight.
I tell the guys at Crete about calling Bryce a Barney Fife. How they tried to get back at me. The guys laugh and say: "That will do it!" -
You're basically making yourself unhirable. Just sayin.Wasted Thyme, 650cat425, WesternPlains and 3 others Thank this.

Depends on the issue. If its a true violation like driving well in excess of your hours, the fmcsa has a whistleblower law that protects drivers.

Apocalypse update-
1) Last night got my name in the hat for a PM and an item on trailer that needs repaired.
SO
Dude says come back around 0800. I wondered by about 0715. Girl says pull it in bay 2. Cool.
Then some other dude comes in and wants one. She says it'll be about 2 hours. Ok.
Then some other dude needs something and cries for 10 minutes cause he came in last night and there was no wait, but chose not to get his trailer fixed.
2) TA is now serving coffee, you can't get it yourself, and have to get a new cup, but it's standard TA coffee.
3) Donut shop across the street is open. Got two large low fat, low cholesterol, sugar twists.
SO
Other than Reno seeming to be a ghost town, situation normal.Rcranch81, Wasted Thyme, Sirscrapntruckalot and 8 others Thank this. -
So wife says to me this morning that something smells fishy about all the closings and ####. Says remember the manufactured gas shortage in the 80's. I says yeah she said remember that as soon as the prices rose to $1.00 a gallon everything was back to normal. I say yeah she says is this all because they want to raise paper products prices up. I says huh. But then again she just might be right lol
