I don't! Once tested and a confirmed positive the authorities are not going to let you just leave. Of course, this is location dependent. In NJ they busted a wedding! At some point, you are going to have to exit that truck. If it's just to go do a deuce. No way they just let you go.
How will you handle getting Corona virus while OTR?

If your so ####ing paranoid, then don't get tested (probably would refuse you anyway, since test kits are precious at the moment, unless your in a high risk group) but isolate. Same boat.Trucker61016 and Snailexpress Thank this.

It’s probably a good idea to get where you want to be if possible before testing. Not everyone may have that option, but better to be near home if possible

I'm retired and actually have already been exposed and tested. My test came back negative, and YES I am in a high-risk group. I'm not speaking from paranoia, I'm just expressing an opinion based on my observations.

Yes, I agree. The big fear here is the incubation period. With this thing, a person infected is still contagious and not be showing symptoms. In fact, I would not be a bit surprised if we don't start hearing about OTR truckers caught up in this crap.G13Tomcat, Trucker61016, Snailexpress and 2 others Thank this.

As long as I can drive I head back to the yard.
If I can't drive I need the hospital.G13Tomcat, Trucker61016 and Linte_Loco Thank this. -
Yeah, early on, we had the luxury of giving so much attention to cases. But now as we shift into widespread contamination, new ballgame.Lostmykey, Trucker61016 and Linte_Loco Thank this.

Now THAT I can totally agree with. I'm hoping that very shortly they will have some kind of a treatment and people don't have to keep acting like it is the Zombie apocalypse.Snailexpress and Linte_Loco Thank this.

I agree, better to get it later than earlier, or best, not at all. I too am considering isolation being in the high risk group. But just one more load, lol. (dice roll)G13Tomcat, Trucker61016 and Linte_Loco Thank this.

It’s a worrying time as the virus doesn’t show symptoms in some people and can take up to 14 days to hit it can incubate for a time but unknowingly a person could still be spreading I guess that’s how it’s spread Around the world .
Linte_Loco Thanks this.
