At the beginning of March I was very sick. I was shivering like a sick dog. 2 nights with fever and coughing, very bad flu.
I thought it was something else, so I stayed in my truck for 4 days and 3 nights .
To this day , I’m a little bit sick still. I contacted the Corona virus hot line and after I described my symptoms I was told no to worry about it. It is a strong flu that is all.
But , my advice will be to stay close to home. I choose where to go and I drive about 500- 700 miles radius, that is it .Wasted Thyme and Muskie Thank this. -
Health is wealth, so is 40 cents a mile really worth it? I was 12 hours away from getting on a plane back to the USA to drive reefer and I bailed on my flight about 3 weeks ago because of how this thing is being ginned up by the media worldwide. Something big is going to come out all this and it's not going to be to the working mans advantage at all.
I know that money is sole determinant for most drivers, but just think how vulnerable you will be to marauders when you are a sitting duck somewhere. The truck is an easy target of opportunity when law and order disappear. Of course, most people cannot accept they have made a really bad decision to stay out and "save the country", they will go down with the ship, as every good captain should.TripleSix and Trucker61016 Thank this. -
LOL, oh boy. Here comes the over the top conspiracy forecasts. Remember most that get this disease are going to recover and be just fine. We are just trying to help the system mitigate and soften the curve of infection for those that have serious problems with this disease. Thus they can get the best care possible, a chance to live on.

Once the fever sets in you’ll most likely become immobilized. Right now I’m a long way from home and have been thinking about this topic all day.
Thinking now to try and get a load back home and stick to the SE region for now. IMO, anything more than a days drive from home will be troublesome.TripleSix, Trucker61016, stacks and 1 other person Thank this. -
