So @Dave_in_AZ was heading back over the hill. Just before the brake check area it started to snow hard and kept it up for about 20 miles

Well the air dryer went and the compressor seems louder, but it still works. I got a new AD9 , air dryer for 340 plus another 20 for a governor. I took off the old one today. I'll put the new one on tommorow. Im not sure what to do with the compressor. It hit a180 psi , then I killed the truck and made a tank leak to keep it around 105 and 135 psi for the two tanks. But it didn't cycle off for three hours.lovesthedrive, D.Tibbitt, LtlAnonymous and 3 others Thank this.

A few years ago with Eyore I had the same thing Opus was dealing with - hearing air from the yellow knob. Did all the checks I could and it sounded like the leak was coming from the air leveler. Got into a shop and had it replaced, no more air sounds. 3 hours down the road, I'm back at square one. Ran it to a company shop and their first thought was the brake control module. Went to the hotel, came back the next morning and was told it was just a brake chamber.
Moral of the story - things are not always as simple as they appear.
For whomever asked "why wait 4 hours for a mudflap"- a few weeks ago I zip tied a mudflap onto the hanger until I could get to the yard. Why you ask? One of the bolts was bent and I don't have anything on the truck to cut a bolt off. It doesn't matter how easy a job is if you don't have the tools.RidgeRunner731, austinmike, Opus and 5 others Thank this.
